The story
The story
Six years of bespoke tailoring have taught Nadia to take a man's measurements without a flicker on her face. Then Theo Andros steps onto her fitting platform after hours: six-two, built by the wooden boats he makes in Red Hook, and in need of a suit to walk his sister down the aisle. Forty-four at the chest. Forty-six expanded. Three mirrors catch every breath, and Nadia forgets a number for the first time in her career. Theo will hold still for as long as she wants him to. Then he won't.
